Maid of Honor

My best friend's wedding (ha!) is a week away!! and i am super ready and excited to go to Dallas.  Here's is my check list for the dates of 11/2 -11/6

The Hotel:  BOOKED! for the night of the wedding.... Magonilia Hotel Dallas -just cause it's fun to get a hotel whilst on vacation (even if you can sleep at your parents house for free....)

The car: RENTED!...  i know right?  How expensive is my 4 day weekend in Dallas gonna be??!?!  Well get this... the rental car..... purchased off my American Airlines MILES!! ie.. FREE!!!  I love you American Airlines!!  (maybe someone will google that and give me free plane tickets!!)  that's how it works right?

The Shoes:  Got em!!  Chocolate Brown, open toed heels!  $17.00  (i'm a good bargain shopper!) ie: cheap...

The Dress:  It came in! FINALLY! (3 months later!)  And took it in yesterday to the dry cleaners down the street from my house to get it fitted.  (ie: spend MORE money.. on getting it hemmed).  It's a little big on top, but i dont care!  I'll tape that shizz down.  hehe- picking it up on SAT.

THE SPEECH:  ................... oh man, i am starting to freak out. I wrote some notes... but i dont want to be that blubbering maid of honor delivering a speech in tears, talking ONLY to the bride.  I dont want to keep my head in a pile of note cards while i read...  I DO want it to be funny and charming, and a complete HIT! 
This is my only opportunity to be a maid of honor (been the bridesmaid twice).. So i figure its my only chance at the speech of a life time.  BUT then i remember... this day is not about me... this speech should not stress me out so much, and it should not be too long!!  I NEED HELP!! But i know it'll be what it is, and it'll get done, (splotch or no splotch- see below).

Just breathe, (don't drink too much before speech) and DON'T CRY (oh, and don't get splotchy... i tend to do that when i am nervous).

Ok, wish me luck.!

halooweeeeeny

I am in desperate need of a halloween costume this year!  Andrew and i like to do a couple thing, but at this point i am down for whatever. He keeps knocking down all my ideas!

1.)  Jax and his girlfriend from Sons of Anarchy (he's got a shaved head now). - Love this show!!

5.)  OH!!  and..my favorite!!.... are you ready for this.....  RON SWANSON AND LESLIE KNOPPE - he doesn't want to shave his beard!!  ...

So... I am completely at a loss.  Last year we were the people from the TV show Party Down... no one knew who we were, but we thought it was awesome...

It's Fall

and i am sorry i have been MIA over here. Just living life and dealing with some personal things with personal matters.. haha, but why don't i share it on the blog right?  Well, something should remain personal right?  Even though this blog is lots of fun, and i tend to over share...  I'm starting to work on that as we speak. DO NOT OVER SHARE.  another fault of mine....I also ask a lot of questions, did you know that?

Any who, the month of October and fall time is one of my favorites and i sure have been doing fun things.

I went to FRIGHT FEST at Six Flags with my friends!! yep! I sure did, it was awesome.  We got the "Fast Pass", totally worth it. You skip right in front of all the suckers waiting in line. (i am too old to wait in lines)...

I also went to a haunted house!  at first i thought it was weak, but then... DRUM ROLL... - A PITCH BLACK MAZE.  OMG, we were lost in there ya'll.. Then it not only got real scary but a little closterphobic,--- not cute.

Then, i went Apple picking! I was a little sick when i went so i should have had way more fun then i did.  The highlight for sure were the PUMPKIN DONUTS... just put them in the microwave for 15 seconds, with a nice cup of tea on the side... heaven.   now i have one million apples to make something with.. got a few good suggestions on my Facebook. But who am i kidding, Andrew is the better cook in the family- he might make an apple pie, and i'll say i helped!

Happy Fall my friends, i'll promise i'll get better and remember this little blog.. It's slowly becoming winter here so i'll have lots of time on my hands, in doors!

The next few weeks will be fun too with Halloween actual on it's way, then to dallas the first weekend of November for Holly's wedding (eek!! i still gotta write my maid of honor speech..) oh lordy.  

so...can i see some dallas folk when i get there?

If not, Andrew and i will also be in dallas for Christmas.. (ahem) first Christmas in YEARS we are spending together... you know, with the new job and all.
