Get your 3D glasses on!

Cause, I've got some pictures for you!  It's really just nuts that this technology exists.  I am so grateful that i WON this free 3D ultra sound, but if we have another kiddo, I  just might have to fork over the cash to do this again.  It was such an amazing, and comfortable experience.   I think this was especially fun, since we don't know the sex of said baby!  Of course i have felt bonded to the baby, but this really upped that to a whole new level.  Seeing this baby's face.... I could stare at it all day long!  (and i just might).

Here are just a few- i got a disc of 105 images!!! Nuts, i tell you.
Introducing, baby Chobot:

We can't wait to meet you little one!
xoxo

29 Weeks

Pregnancy: 29 weeks.  Next week, I'll be 30 weeks and there will only be 10 more weeks left. (BLANK FACE)

Weight Gain:  not weighing myself unless I am at the doctor, I go again on Monday. So at this point.  18 pounds total gained.

Next appointment:   TONIGHT, I have my elective 3D/4D ultra sound (for Free!) I'm nervous.  Seeing my baby's face in 3d is a bit nutty right?  I'll report back with those photos.  Next Dr. appt is Mon. 7/30

Sleep:  Sleep is not cute anymore.  I am getting the hang of how to maneuver this belly and it's not cute.  My awesome maternity pillow (which i promised some I'd never speak of again) HI SARAH!  Is not as awesome as it once was.  There is too much pillow!  Sigh.  But I'll figure it out.

Gender: Not finding out the sex.-  I'm thinking its a BOY.

Names:  Well, i have my girls name, but no middle name.  And possible boys name. Still brainstorming.  10 more weeks to go back and forth!

Feeling/ Symptoms:   SO much heavier than last week.  Turning into THAT preggo lady, when i get up and sit down. Moving much slower.  Legs starting to hurt a lot from walking to the kitchen to the bed. haha! aches and pains.. but still feeling great over all

Movement: Baby is doing great and kicking like a pro!!

Belly:   BIG.  Just getting bigger!

Maternity Clothes:   New dress that i bought for Hayley's wedding, didn't fit right.  I returned it and got a smaller size.  Not used to this preggo body at all!  Found a dress to wear to my shower this weekend!  It was in my closet and a hand me down from my skinny friend Colie.  ;)  It fits!  Thank you stretchy material!  pics to come from the shower. YAY!!

Stretch Marks:  It's official.  Stretch mark on my left hip.  WHAT DO I DO!??!?  Will they go away?

Best Moment Last Week:  Getting a HUGE box from my sister with a shit ton of clothes from her son Julian.  Baby Chobot will have lots of onesies courtesy of his/her cousins!  So many TINY clothes, so adorable.  Not to mention TONS of other awesome things in that box.  (box is in nursery now.)  Cleaning out computer room.....(see nursery).

Nursery:   We are ready to go!  We have one huge book shelf that we aren't moving out of the room (no where else to put it) but besides that, it's empty!  We are ready for STUFF.

What I Miss:  BEER. i want a beer.  I wonder if my taste will change when i can finally drink beer again.. Maybe i'll like fancy beers, and not just miller lite.. hmmmm....... mmmm... beer.......

Looking forward to:   my 3D ultra sound in 2 hours!!!  EEEP!  And my mom coming in town tomorrow, and my shower this weekend!!

What the professionals are saying:

Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.

Baby is the size of what fruit/ Vegetable? Butternut Squash

28 Weeks

Pregnancy: 28 Weeks!  Officially 3rd trimester, and entering month 7!   (it's really flying by!)  Also, i want to mention, I don't ALWAYS wear black, but I decided at the beginning of this pregnancy i wanted to wear the same shirt in every picture.  So that's whats going on here.  I wear the same tank top every Thursday ;)

Weight Gain:  Went to the Dr. this past Monday, and i gained 2 more pounds!  Not bad.  Total weight gain: 18 pounds.  I think that's pretty much on track.  (i hope!)

Next appointment:   I won a free 3D ultra sound a few months ago, so I have that on Thurs. 7/26 YAY!!  Then after that, i found out that i start seeing my midwife every two weeks.  So i go again to see her on Mon. 7/30.  My mom will be in town, so I am excited that she will get to go with me and meet my sweet mid wife.

Sleep:  Getting harder, not sleeping as well.  Lots of getting up in the middle of the night and tossing and turning.  The closer it gets the less I can sleep. Is this how your body prepares you?

Gender: Not finding out the sex.-  I'm thinking its a BOY.

Names: Same as last week- this baby will remain nameless, i am sure of it.

Feeling/ Symptoms:  Feeling good.  But definitely HEAVIER.  Not really waddling yet, but i know it's coming.  Back starting to hurt more.  Must remember to stretch more often.

Movement:  Lot's and lot's of movement, especially at night.  I LOVE the movement. it's crazy.

Belly:   Soft, and round.  Looking at the picture above, i think i am carrying low.  Does that mean boy too?  hmmm.....

Maternity Clothes:   Just bought a new dress for my bff's Hayley's wedding in August.  Hopefully it fits!  It's PINK! See, i don't always wear black ;)  - That website has super cute maternity stylish dresses, FYI.

Stretch Marks:  Bad news folks. I think i found a stretch mark.  It's on my hip- like where my love handles normally are.  BUT i can't tell if it's just darker veins or stretch marks. EEP!  I will keep a keen eye on it.  :(

Best Moment Last Week:   Last weekend, Andrew and i got serious and CLEANED and REARRANGED.  also known as NESTING!  We re did our entire bedroom, moved the bed, took out 2 book shelves and put them in a closet stacked on top of each other with towels and photos albums in them.  Thank god for Andrew and his tetris skills.  He can make anything fit anywhere.  So now all that is in our bedroom is a bed, and a dresser.  Yesterday my friend Colie let me borrow her GLIDER!! (not that one, just looks like that) It's still in my car, but  I think it'll fit nicely in my bedroom with a co sleeper, once i get that.  Shit is gettin' real ya'll.  OH!  And i passed my glucose test!  Momma can break down sugar!! yay!! Now give me a brownie.

Nursery:   This weekend, we work on the Nursery!  packing and moving stuff out of the computer room.  Today in the mail i got another baby shower gift!!  A pack N play!  WOOT!  So, we will see where that will end up.  But things are at least beginning to move in the right direction. I like that.

What I Miss:  SUSHI.  I've really been wanting sushi lately.  sigh. AND sleeping on my stomach, or any ole way i want to.

Looking forward to:   My 3-D Ultra Sound next week!  And getting shit out of the computer room.  and the weekend, to SLEEP.

What the professionals are saying:

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

Baby is the size of what fruit/ Vegetable? Chinese Cabbage?

27 Weeks

Pregnancy: 27 weeks! As the title, and the picture mention. ;)  So I've read in some places today begins the THIRD TRIMESTER!! WOOT!  But, then some other places say it's week 28.  So... who knows. I'll celebrate it again next week.    All i know, if the baby were born today, we have 80% viability.  But, again.. STAY IN THERE BABY!

Weight Gain:  at last appt. 16 pounds- we shall see On MONDAY! (when i PASS my glucose test)

Next appointment:   Mon. 7/16, I'll be 27weeks and 4 days. Glucose test.  MUST NOT EAT SWEETS..

Sleep:  Still good, but getting harder to get in and out of bed.  We need to re-do our bedroom asap.  I need to be on the outside - not up against the wall, so i can just roll outta bed, and be able to nurse the baby

Gender: Not finding out the sex.-  I'm thinking its a BOY.

Names:   pretty much have girls 1st name.  No middle name yet. Andrew and I finally semi agreed on a boys middle name... now to agree on the first name.  uh huh.

Feeling/ Symptoms:  bloody nose still, back starting to hurt.  Had my first charlie horse!  I hear those become pretty common. - besides that feeling good.

Movement:  Lot's and lot's of movement, especially at night.  I LOVE the movement. it's crazy.

Belly:   Soft, and round.  getting bigger!

Maternity Clothes:  Need a new bra. - still. strapless preferred at this point.

Stretch Marks:  nope!

Best Moment Last Week:   Nothing too memorable last week.  I saw Andrew's family, and it's fun to see family when you are really growing. I love the belly touching and the talking to the baby.  OH!  and i took that water aerobics class at my gym.  There was one other preggo lady there and me and a bunch of older women.  It was nice and easy and i will be going back.

Nursery:  no changes on this front either.  I got a little bit of the "nesting" bug last weekend.  But that pretty much equaled me on my hands and knees in the kitchen cleaning UNDER the stove.  i guess it needed it?  time to organize and move shit around for the nursery!  We want to get things going before my shower on 7/29, so we will have a place to put stuff.

What I Miss:  having drunk conversations with my friends. haha.  It's great hanging out with folks, i have still been going to the bars and doing things, but i realize when the person you are talking to is drunk- and you are sober.  Said person will never remember what you are talking about and the conversation is pointless.  kind of a waste of time.. am i right?  Now, NOT every time and not with everyone.. just some times. ;)

Looking forward to:   Being in my 3rd trimester! Scheduling my FREE 3D ultra sound for week 29- can't wait to see that face!!   getting the glucose test over with, and PASSING it.  and  the weekend. I AM SO TIRED.

What the professionals are saying:

How your baby's growing:
This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

Baby is the size of what fruit/ Vegetable?  Head of Cauliflower- which looks a bit smaller than the eggplant last week.... hmm.

26 weeks

26 Weeks

Pregnancy: 26 weeks today

Weight Gain:  at last appt. 16 pounds- we shall see.

Next appointment:   Mon. 7/16, I'll be 28 weeks. Glucose test.

Sleep:  I love nothing more then being in my bed with the AC blowing in my face.  I wish i could be in bed all the time.  Sleep is just as awesome.  I had Mon- Wed. off from work, and i slept A LOT.

Gender: Not finding out the sex.

Names:   Same boat as last week and prob will be until after the baby is born.  No name.

Feeling/ Symptoms:  feeling HOT.  but good, belly getting bigger.

Health:  Bloody Nose thing still coming on strong.  Anyone else have that?  Not sure what it is.  Health is good though.  Feeling good.

Movement: SAW lots of movement this past week.  I love seeing it.  Keep kicking me baby!  I am waiting for me to knock twice and have the baby knock back twice at me.  THAT would be awesome.

Belly:   Soft, and round.  getting bigger! Belly button still weird.

Maternity Clothes:  Need a new bra. - uh huh

Stretch Marks:  nope!

Best Moment Last Week:  On my day off on Monday, i got a PRENATAL MASSAGE!  It was awesome.  I bought a groupon thingy and it was 50 minutes and pretty cheap.  I already want another one.  I thought there would be a hole in the massage table for my belly, instead they did one side of my body at a time and as i spooned a body pillow. Interesting, but effective.  It felt awesome. I also went to the movies and saw Moonrise Kingdom!  It was real sweet. OH!  And someone bought us our stroller and car seat from the registry!!  It's the little things people.  YAY!

Nursery:  no changes on this front either.  It's an idea in our heads.

What I Miss:  Sleeping on my stomach.  beer.

Looking forward to:   Attempting to go to the gym on Monday to take an aqua-aerobics class.  I joined the gym right before i got pregnant, and i have barely gone!  It's too hot to walk outside (as i've mentioned), so i need to do something.  Also next week i have my first baby class- about baby's first few days home... or something.  Also looking forward to the weekend, to sleep more.  Back at work today after a 5 day weekend is NOT cute.  It's 100 degrees outside and 90 degrees in my office.  Seriously.

What the professionals are saying:

How your baby's growing:

The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.

Baby is the size of what fruit/ Vegetable?   Eggplant!
