28 Weeks

Pregnancy: 28 Weeks!  Officially 3rd trimester, and entering month 7!   (it's really flying by!)  Also, i want to mention, I don't ALWAYS wear black, but I decided at the beginning of this pregnancy i wanted to wear the same shirt in every picture.  So that's whats going on here.  I wear the same tank top every Thursday ;)

Weight Gain:  Went to the Dr. this past Monday, and i gained 2 more pounds!  Not bad.  Total weight gain: 18 pounds.  I think that's pretty much on track.  (i hope!)

Next appointment:   I won a free 3D ultra sound a few months ago, so I have that on Thurs. 7/26 YAY!!  Then after that, i found out that i start seeing my midwife every two weeks.  So i go again to see her on Mon. 7/30.  My mom will be in town, so I am excited that she will get to go with me and meet my sweet mid wife.

Sleep:  Getting harder, not sleeping as well.  Lots of getting up in the middle of the night and tossing and turning.  The closer it gets the less I can sleep. Is this how your body prepares you?

Gender: Not finding out the sex.-  I'm thinking its a BOY.

Names: Same as last week- this baby will remain nameless, i am sure of it.

Feeling/ Symptoms:  Feeling good.  But definitely HEAVIER.  Not really waddling yet, but i know it's coming.  Back starting to hurt more.  Must remember to stretch more often.

Movement:  Lot's and lot's of movement, especially at night.  I LOVE the movement. it's crazy.

Belly:   Soft, and round.  Looking at the picture above, i think i am carrying low.  Does that mean boy too?  hmmm.....

Maternity Clothes:   Just bought a new dress for my bff's Hayley's wedding in August.  Hopefully it fits!  It's PINK! See, i don't always wear black ;)  - That website has super cute maternity stylish dresses, FYI.

Stretch Marks:  Bad news folks. I think i found a stretch mark.  It's on my hip- like where my love handles normally are.  BUT i can't tell if it's just darker veins or stretch marks. EEP!  I will keep a keen eye on it.  :(

Best Moment Last Week:   Last weekend, Andrew and i got serious and CLEANED and REARRANGED.  also known as NESTING!  We re did our entire bedroom, moved the bed, took out 2 book shelves and put them in a closet stacked on top of each other with towels and photos albums in them.  Thank god for Andrew and his tetris skills.  He can make anything fit anywhere.  So now all that is in our bedroom is a bed, and a dresser.  Yesterday my friend Colie let me borrow her GLIDER!! (not that one, just looks like that) It's still in my car, but  I think it'll fit nicely in my bedroom with a co sleeper, once i get that.  Shit is gettin' real ya'll.  OH!  And i passed my glucose test!  Momma can break down sugar!! yay!! Now give me a brownie.

Nursery:   This weekend, we work on the Nursery!  packing and moving stuff out of the computer room.  Today in the mail i got another baby shower gift!!  A pack N play!  WOOT!  So, we will see where that will end up.  But things are at least beginning to move in the right direction. I like that.

What I Miss:  SUSHI.  I've really been wanting sushi lately.  sigh. AND sleeping on my stomach, or any ole way i want to.

Looking forward to:   My 3-D Ultra Sound next week!  And getting shit out of the computer room.  and the weekend, to SLEEP.

What the professionals are saying:

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

Baby is the size of what fruit/ Vegetable? Chinese Cabbage?
