Song of the Day

It was Chicago's 175th birthday this past weekend.. So today's song of the day is dedicated to Chicago!

You gotta love Chicago band Wilco.  Well you don't gotta, but i do (esp this song!)  I heard this song on the radio  and (of course) you tubed the video...  and found this great video below of Jeff Tweedy and his kid on the tour bus.  Dudes, how talented is that kid gonna be.. his little beats on his legs are completely on key.

I guess that's what happens when your Jeff Tweedy's kid.

Enjoy one of my favorite Wilco songs:

I'm off to watch American Idol on the couch...  Happy Wednesday.

Song of the Day

Just heard this song on my XRT radio station... can i work for them yet?

Heard the song for the first time... stopped what i was doing.. googled it, found you tube video and posted it here to share!

Band:  Gotye
Song:  Somebody that I used to know.

(Apparently i really like indie rocker boys singing right at the camera?)  But his voice!!  Give it a listen..

Remember this Song of the day i posted a year ago?  Another boy face singing at the camera.  Good stuff.

Also today my friend Amber posted one of my most favorite songs on the facebook and i listened to the whole thing for the 150thousanth time.. and it too helped my day turn around.

This song is awesome and it'll make you smile for sure!
(and i am pretty sure it's a "song of the day" in days past, but i can't find it- i really need to go back and give all my posts labels....)

I digress.....Enjoy!
Happy Weekend

Song of the day

Hi Friends, my song of the day today was not found on the radio, but by a mix cd!  Remember when we used to make our friends mix cd's and tapes? I used to be so good at it!  My sweet friend Hayley made a mix CD and number one on the album is my song today.

I texted her.... "ummm... #1 on your cd is my new favorite song, good lord it's heartbreaking"  I love music, (duh) but it takes a lot for me to LOVE new music.. i mean i still love REM and the Beatles (and most other 90's bands).  So i hope you enjoy this song. i have been listening to it on repeat, and can't get it outta my head!
This is the first time i heard of this band and the only song i know from them. I am off to do some research and perhaps get the whole album.. if it's anything like this song- i'll love it!
Hope you enjoy!

Do you guys read her?  She is so pretty, and stylish, and her kids are just the cutest!!- Found her through reading other blogs.. don't know her ;)

Anyway.. .she posted this song on a video she made and i can't stop hummin' it!  I know the song from the movie Rushmore.

Let's watch the trailer shall we?

I love this movie a little too much!   But I hope you enjoy my choice for Song of the Day.

But i hope you enjoy it.  He is going on tour, and i wish, and dream of being rich enough to go see him in concert.  I have entered a coupla contests to win tickets to no avail.  I'll keep ya posted if i win!  I'll be real happy. Anywho, hope you are lovin' this song as much as my inner hippie does.
